- Frameless fencing provides a modern and minimalist style, using glass panels that are fitted without any frames around them.
- Semi-frameless are partially framed glass panels that utilise stainless steel or aluminium frames between each glass panel.
- Pin fixed fences and balustrades utilise pins to anchor the glass and is a modern method allowing for maximum space and views.
Do I need a handrail on the glass?
If your glass installation is 1000mm or more above ground level, regulations require either a handrail or specially engineered safety glass. Clearly Glass can assist with all certification requirements and offers both balustrade options with handrails or using compliant safety glass to ensure your installation meets legal and safety standards.
How do I clean the glass?
A microfibre cloth and warm soapy water usually does the trick. Otherwise, a simple DIY solution of water and vinegar will leave your balustrades streak-free.

What makes a frameless glass shower different from a framed or semi-frameless shower?
A frameless glass shower has no bulky metal framing, giving it a sleek, modern, and seamless look. Unlike framed or semi-frameless showers, it relies on minimal hardware such as hinges and brackets, creating a more open and spacious feel in the bathroom.
What glass thickness is used for frameless shower screens?
We use 10mm or 12mm toughened safety glass, which meets Australian Standards (AS/NZS 2208:1996) for durability and strength. This ensures the shower is safe, impact-resistant, and long-lasting.
Can frameless shower screens be custom-made to fit my bathroom?
Yes! Frameless showers are fully customisable to fit any bathroom layout. Whether you need a walk-in shower, corner entry, or an over-bath screen, we can design and install a made-to-measure solution.
What are the door options for a frameless shower?

How long does installation take?
Installation times vary depending on the complexity of the design. As a general guide:
A fixed panel installation takes around 2 hours.
A full shower enclosure with a door takes 2–3 hours for the first visit, with a second visit 48 hours later to install the door after the silicone has cured.

How do I care for my coloured glass splashback?
To keep your splashback looking its best, avoid abrasive cleaners, spirits, solvents, scourers, or steel wool, as they can damage the surface. Instead, we recommend using a streak-free glass cleaner with quality paper towel or a lint-free cloth for a spotless finish.
How are splashbacks installed onto walls?
We use strong industrial adhesive to securely fix all splashbacks in place. To ensure a clean and professional finish, the perimeter of the splashback is fully sealed.
Can light switches or powerpoints be installed in a glass splashback?
Yes! Glass splashbacks are completely customisable and can accommodate light switches and powerpoints. During the quoting process, we take precise measurements to ensure the necessary cutouts are included for a seamless integration.
What designs or colours can I have on my splashback?
The options are endless! You can choose from solid colours, metallic finishes, custom colours or printed designs, or even personalised artwork to match your space. Contact our team to explore how we can bring your vision to life with a unique, custom-designed glass splashback.
